Historic off-grid vacation home located on beautiful Lasqueti island.
The Teapot House is a historic property located on beautiful Lasqueti Island B.C Canada. The home has an upstairs bedroom, large living space, kitchen and orchard/yard. It’s within walking distance to the ferry, pub/restaurant, gift shop, playgrounds, and beaches.
The Teapot House was built in the 1920s by George Hadley and named for the brick fireplace chimney shaped like a teapot. Once a coffee pot chimney stood above the kitchen stove but sadly had to be removed during a roof refurbishment.
The building has seen many incarnations in its roughly 100 years, including early pioneer homestead, hippie commune, restaurant, and music venue. The property has seen hundreds of weddings, funerals, baby showers, and is the traditional location of our annual firefighter’s fundraising picnic and Halloween.
