CALM is one of Toronto’s first medical marijuana dispensaries. Since originally opening in 1996, CALM (Cannabis As Living Medicine) continues to cater to the needs of severely or chronically ill patients. Providing an extensive selection of flowers, concentrates, hashes and marijuana treatments, it’s a dispensary with a reputation for its community outreach and active involvement in movements devoted to marijuana legalization.
From its earlier history in the heart of Church Street Village, only members have access to its new location, occupying a nondescript storefront that previously operated as a coffee shop. Once a member with a certified doctor’s prescription, clients are given an address with additional member guidelines. There’s an old-school and traditional operation running here, where clients know what they’re getting.
“We’ve contributed a lot to the movement and legalization of marijuana, and we’re looking forward to the many opportunities ahead.” Explains Neev, CALM’s Director and owner. With over 20 years of compassion club experience, CALM offers a shopping experience that’s geared to symptom relief and ongoing feedback logging to help clients treat pain.
A member of CAMD, CALM operates under a strict regulation process to ensure customers have access to “high-grade” cannabis. After 20 years of operation, their client base has expanded to a diverse range of customers young and old to treat pain, anxiety and health issues.
