The Craft Cannabis Association of BC believes that small-scale producers have an important role to play in our communities, providing quality product, creating local jobs and equitable economic opportunity. This is our time to influence cannabis regulation in Canada.

Local and small-scale craft cannabis production means consumers are directly connected with the producers of each and every product — ensuring high-quality practices, broader choice and unique medicinal solutions.

The cannabis industry is worth billions of dollars to Canadians. Right now we have a powerful opportunity to sustain and diversify our economy, with meaningful employment and substantial tax revenues.

SUSTAINABILITY

Cannabis is a renewable agricultural resource. Post-prohibition will allow for further expansion of innovative applications, creating products and that help our transition towards a regenerative society.

Craft cannabis is at the heart of British Columbia’s economic heritage. With a long-standing tradition of quality and small batch production of specialized strains, BC is home to some of the most world-renowned cannabis.

We support consumer-driven demand and emerging legislative models that support small and medium scale production in British Columbia.

To support and promote the Craft Cannabis industry in British Columbia.

OUR CONSTITUTION

Building a network of growers, retailers, decision makers and consumers who want to ensure access to quality locally grown craft cannabis. We create resources to support and promote the craft cannabis industry in British Columbia.

  • To support and promote the craft cannabis industry in British Columbia;
  • To work with governments to ensure statutes and regulations are inclusive of British Columbia’s craft cannabis industry;
  • To provide a unified provincial voice for the craft cannabis industry in regards to legislative and regulatory matters;
  • To provide a forum for information, education, discussion, and guidance for the craft cannabis industry;
  • To support the development of standards, regulations and policies for the craft cannabis industry;
  • To conduct, encourage and facilitate research into the use of cannabis and methods for its production, distribution and regulation;
  • To promote awareness about the importance of British Columbia’s craft cannabis industry in local communities and economies; and
  • To increase understanding and appreciation of the craft cannabis industry.
